This page is short on purpose. By using Lamha you agree to what is on it. What we cannot deliver, we do not promise.
Last updated:
1. What Lamha is
Lamha records your screen and gives you a link to share. It is run by one person from Saudi Arabia and is in beta: features may change, and the service may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
2. Your account
An account is for one person, and you are responsible for what happens through it and for keeping your password to yourself.
Give us a real email address: it is the only way to recover a password.
Lamha charges nothing today. There is no payment system in the site at all, and we ask for no card and no payment method. The prices shown on the home page are labels for future plans, not a bill and not a commitment.
If a paid subscription ever exists, it will be something you choose at that time. An existing account will not turn itself into a paid one.
4. Limits
Each plan has a total storage allowance, a maximum recording length, and a maximum number of recordings. Your plan's limits are shown on your account page, and they are what the server actually enforces when you upload.
On top of that there is a ceiling on the size of any single file, whatever your plan. An upload stops there.
Deleting a recording does not free its space at once: the space comes back when the file is actually wiped from the disk, thirty days after you delete it.
We may change these limits while in beta. If we change them in a way that hurts you, we will tell you.
5. Acceptable use
Recording is a powerful thing: what is on your screen may belong to someone else. Use Lamha on that understanding.
Record only what you have the right to record. If people, their voices or their data appear in a recording, getting their consent is your responsibility, not ours.
Do not use Lamha for anything unlawful, to harass, threaten or invade anyone's privacy, or to publish material you do not hold the rights to.
Do not upload malware, and do not try to get around plan limits or to load the service in a way that denies it to others.
Do not resell the service or present it as your own.
6. Your recordings stay yours
What you record is yours. We claim no rights in it, do not use it for advertising, do not show it to anyone you have not shared it with, and do not train any model on it. The only permission you give us is the one technically needed to store it, process it, and show it to the people you share it with.
7. Where your recordings live, and the limit of our promise
Your recordings are stored on hardware the owner of Lamha owns and keeps at his home in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, reached by your browser through a delivery network. Your account and the recordings' details (title, size, length) are on the website's shared hosting. The full picture is in the privacy policy.
Keep your own copy of anything that matters. The service is in beta and the machine is a single machine: it can lose power or internet, and it can fail. The extension's popup has a "keep a copy on this computer" switch: the moment you stop recording it saves the file to your downloads folder, before the upload and whether or not the upload succeeds — turn it on for anything you cannot afford to lose.
The service is provided as is, with no guarantee of continuous availability and no guarantee that a file cannot be lost. We are not liable for indirect loss arising from an outage or a lost recording, and our liability in any case is limited to what you have paid us — which today is nothing.
8. When we suspend an account or remove content
We can suspend an account or remove a recording if it breaks section 5, or if we receive a serious complaint that the content is unlawful or violates someone's rights. We try to warn first, unless the matter is urgent or legal.
If you see a recording on Lamha that infringes your rights, write to info@lamha.co.business with the link and the reason.
9. Ending your use
You can delete any recording at any time from your library. The link stops at once, and the file is wiped from the disk thirty days later.
You may delete your account entirely. There is no button for it on the site yet, so write to us from the address on the account at info@lamha.co.business: the account and its recordings' records go from the database and its links die at once. Erasing the video files from the disk is then a manual step the owner performs, because the automatic wipe is driven by the rows that vanished with the account; to be sure of it, delete your recordings from your library first, wait the thirty days, and then ask for the account to go. The privacy policy spells this out.
And if we ever shut the service down, we will give notice with enough time to download your recordings.
10. Changes to these terms
We may amend this page as the service grows; the date at the top is when it last changed. Continuing to use Lamha after a change means you accept it.
11. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. And before any dispute, write to us: most of what looks like a dispute is a misunderstanding that one message to info@lamha.co.business settles.
What data we collect and where it is kept is set out in full in the privacy policy. Privacy policy
